The Balkhash Non-ferrous Metal Processing Plant began its history during the Great Patriotic War on the basis of the S.Ordzhonikidze Kolchuginsky Non-ferrous Metal Processing Plant evacuated to the rear. In 1980, a new stage of rolling production based on equipment from the Czech company Skoda was put into operation, which made it possible to remove some of the equipment from the old workshops, improve working conditions and significantly raised on May 8, 1998, the Balkhash Non-ferrous metal processing plant left the Balkhashmed software, becoming an independent enterprise. Today, JSC ZOCM is a production complex, including metallurgical processing, for the production of flat and round rolled products and other products made of copper and its alloys (brass, bronze, copper-nickel) in the form of: - Tapes, strips, sheets; - Wires, rods, tubes; - Copper conductive tires, copper water-cooled elements (caissons, refrigerators, tuyeres, gutters); - Ingots, shaped casting from foundry brass and bronze; - Babbits, solders from more than 30 grades of alloys, nomenclature of more than 2000 standard sizes. The production capacity of JSC "ZOCM" is 6000 tons per year.
