KAZAKHSTAN MACHINERY FAIR 2026 AND SU ARNASY – WATER EXPO 2026: platforms where industry moves from dialogue to action

From 1 to 3 April 2026, the VII International Specialized Exhibition Kazakhstan Machinery Fair 2026 and the XV International Exhibition of Equipment and Technologies for the Water Industry SU ARNASY – Water Expo 2026 were held at the EXPO International Exhibition Center in Astana. Over the course of three days, the venue brought together equipment manufacturers, technology solution providers, representatives of industry and the water sector, profile associations, government institutions, and the international business community. Both projects once again confirmed Kazakhstan’s role as a focal point for industry dialogue, technological exchange, and the development of international cooperation.

Kazakhstan Machinery Fair 2026: focus on industry, modernization and cooperation

Kazakhstan Machinery Fair 2026 once again confirmed its status as the largest professional platform in Kazakhstan and Central Asia for mechanical engineering, metalworking, and industrial technologies. The exhibition featured 250+ companies from 24 countries, while the exposition covered key industry segments — from metalworking equipment and welding technologies to automation, robotics, and digital solutions for manufacturing.
Official opening

The opening ceremony took place on **1 April**. It was attended by Yersayin Nagaspayev, Minister of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Meiram Pshembayev, Chairman of the Board of the Union of Machine Builders of Kazakhstan, and Kuanysh Kanapyanov, Executive Director of Astana Expo. From its very first hours, the exhibition set a strong professional tone, highlighting the industry’s priority areas: technological modernization, development of cooperation, increased localization, and strengthening industrial capacity.

Yersayin Nagaspayev emphasized the importance of the exhibition for the development of the business environment and the promotion of the manufacturing sector, noting that Kazakhstan Machinery Fair serves as an effective platform for strengthening business ties, implementing joint projects, and promoting domestic products in both local and foreign markets. This assessment accurately reflects the role of the exhibition as a space for practical professional interaction and for finding real solutions for industry.

Speaking about the project’s importance for the sector, Meiram Pshembayev placed special emphasis on the exhibition’s practical value: direct negotiations, project discussions, and engagement with advanced technologies. It is exactly this format that makes Kazakhstan Machinery Fair not merely a showcase, but a working tool for the development of the machine-building sector.

Exhibition and professional audience

The Kazakhstan Machinery Fair 2026 exposition presented a broad range of solutions for the manufacturing sector: modern machine tools, instruments, components, welding systems, automation technologies, and solutions aimed at improving the efficiency of industrial processes. The exhibition traditionally attracted a highly targeted professional audience, including executives of industrial enterprises, engineers, technologists, procurement specialists, and experts involved in production modernization processes. This visitor profile creates high practical value for participation and makes the venue an effective B2B environment for business negotiations, networking, and launching new partnerships.

Prime Minister on industrial development
One of the key events of the business program was the visit of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan,Olzhas Bektenov, who toured the Kazakhstan Machinery Fair 2026 exposition and took part in the 13th Forum of Machine Builders of Kazakhstan. In his speech, he emphasized:

The development of the manufacturing sector is the Government’s top priority. The future prospects of Kazakhstan depend on how successfully we accomplish this task.

Special emphasis was also placed on technology as a factor of competitiveness, including digitalization, robotics, and the implementation of artificial intelligence.

Business program
A major pillar of Kazakhstan Machinery Fair 2026 was its business program, held in conjunction with the 13th Forum of Machine Builders of Kazakhstan. Discussions focused on industrial cooperation, the introduction of new technologies, localization, digital transformation, and the further development of Kazakhstan’s machine-building industry. This combination of exhibition and discussion agenda strengthens the project’s practical significance and makes it a platform not only for showcasing equipment, but also for shaping industry benchmarks.

SU ARNASY – Water Expo 2026: technologies for the sustainable development of the water industry
Alongside Kazakhstan Machinery Fair, the EXPO IEC also hosted SU ARNASY – Water Expo 2026, the key international exhibition of equipment and technologies for the water industry. In 2026, the project brought together 80+ companies from 13 countries, presenting a wide range of solutions for water supply, wastewater disposal, water treatment, environmental monitoring, and the modernization of engineering infrastructure.
Exhibition and industry topics

SU ARNASY – Water Expo 2026 demonstrated solutions relevant for both the municipal and industrial sectors: equipment for water supply and sewage systems, water treatment technologies, pumping solutions, shut-off and control valves, metering and digital monitoring devices, as well as modern approaches to infrastructure modernization. The exhibition became a meeting point for suppliers, manufacturers, water utilities, design organizations, industry specialists, and the expert community.

SU ARNASY business program
Special attention within the exhibition was given to the business program devoted to water infrastructure modernization, sustainable development, digitalization of the sector, and improving the efficiency of water resources management. The parallel staging of Kazakhstan Machinery Fair and SU ARNASY – Water Expo strengthened the cross-industry character of the venue, where engineering, industrial, and infrastructure solutions were considered within a single professional context.

Exhibitions as a space for industry growth
Kazakhstan Machinery Fair 2026 and SU ARNASY – Water Expo 2026 demonstrated that industry exhibitions today are not only a showcase of products and technologies, but also a full-fledged environment for building new cooperation ties, exchanging experience, discussing challenges, and searching for practical solutions. The combination of the two projects at one venue made it possible to unite the industrial and infrastructure agenda, expanding opportunities for professional communication and international cooperation.
