Kazakhstan Industry Week | Kazakhstan Machinery Fair 2022: exhibition results

The official opening ceremony was attended by Mr. Kaiyrbek Uskenbayev, the Minister of Industry and Infrastructural Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr. Meiram Pshembayev, the Chairman of the Association of Kazakhstan Machinery Industry , Mr. Pavel Utyupin, the Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr. Andrey Babko, the Trade Representative of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Kazakhstan and Ufuk Ekici, the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

On the second day, Mr. Alikhan Smailov, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, visited the exhibition. "In the current circumstances, the Government continues implementing the policy aimed to support domestic manufacturers. This includes the provision of affordable input materials and funding, reduction of import dependence, modernization of existing and construction of new production facilities", - the Prime Minister said, adding that the Government was ready for an open dialogue and collaboration with the business.

243 companies from 17 countries, including Kazakhstan, Austria, Belarus, Germany, Denmark, Israel, Spain, Italy, Russia, Turkey, Uzbekistan, France, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, Sweden, South Korea, and Iran, participated in Kazakhstan Industry Week and Kazakhstan Machinery Fair. The total exposition area was 8,860 sq.m.
Kazakhstani and international companies showcased the latest equipment and technologies for the processing industry, machine building and metalworking, as well as domestic and foreign finished products in the following thematic sections.

The share of Kazakhstani exhibitors exceeded 50% and included leading domestic companies: Almaty Heavy Machine Building Plant, KELET, KARLSKRONA, Welding Company, AgromashHolding KZ, QAZTEHNA, Kazrost Engineering, Kazakhmys, Kazakhstan Engineering, KazAzot, Kazphosphate, Aluminium of Kazakhstan, etc.

Over 60 Russian manufacturers and equipment suppliers exhibited their products at the collective stands of the Russian regions - the Russian Export Center, Penza Oblast, Perm Krai, and the Republic of Bashkortostan.

ALEMTRADE, Grundfos Kazakhstan, Norgau Central Asia, FFG, Unimatik, Promoil, BELORGSTANKINPROM, Turkish Machinery, Sewon-Vertex Heavy Industry, ALFLETH Engineering Ltd, HERMLE WWE AG, Iscar Ltd, Prima Power, Eurasia Special Machines and many others also were among the exhibitors.

The synergy of the two industrial exhibitions increased the number and quality of unique visitors. 3,470 specialists visited the event.
The highlight of the business program was the X Forum of Kazakhstan Machinery Industry Manufacturers. The Forum sessions covered the following topics: agricultural, automobile machinery, general machinery technologies, machine building for mining and metallurgical sector, machinery development in Almaty, electrotechnical machinery, role of the youth in innovative development of machinery, Industry 4.0: Digitalization and robotics in industry, railway machinery, and oil and gas machinery.

According to Mr. Meiram Pshembayev, the Chairman of the Association of Kazakhstan Machinery Industry, the special significance of the forum is that it forms the development strategy not only for the machine building industry, but also for the manufacturing industry of the country, develops new mechanisms for providing machine building enterprises with affordable raw materials and promotes the development of local content.
Visitors of Kazakhstan Industry Week and Kazakhstan Machinery Fair enjoyed an extensive business program, within the framework of which over 37 business events were held.
"QazIndustry" Kazakhstan Industry and Export Center held the V Subcontract Exchange and the session "Digital Transformation of the Industry".

The conference "Clean Industry Solutions" gathered representatives of companies offering cleaning services to industrial companies to discuss challenges of the market and ways to solve them. The organizer is QAZPROPERTY Association of Management and Service Companies.

Within the ChemTech Kazakhstan section, conferences on "New Opportunities and Prospects for Developing the Chemical Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan" (the organizer is KAZKHIMIYA Association of Chemical Industry) and "Chemical Industry: Problems and Solutions" (the organizer is the Kazakhstan Union of Chemical Industry) were held.
