Results of the exhibition – Kazakhstan Machinery Fair 2024

From April 24 to 26, 2024, the V International Specialized Exhibition on Mechanical Engineering and Metalworking Kazakhstan Machinery Fair was held at the EXPO International Exhibition Center in Astana.

Despite the difficult situation associated with large-scale spring floods in Kazakhstan and the cancellation of the XII Forum of Machine Builders of Kazakhstan, the exhibition was held on schedule, and the program of the event was adjusted to take into account the prevailing circumstances.
The exposition of the exhibition increased by 23% compared to 2023, and especially stood out for its variety of exhibits on display. International cooperation

Within the framework of the Kazakhstan Machinery Fair, together with the Union of Machine Builders of Kazakhstan and Leipziger Messe International, round tables were held with representatives of German project companies in Kazakhstan, where issues of interaction with Kazakhstani enterprises were discussed.
Anna Zubova, Director of the Central Asia Office of Leipziger Messe, noted: "For the first time, we are participating as co-organizers of the mechanical engineering exhibition together with Astana Expo and Leipziger Messe. Since this is the first time we are getting acquainted with the market and representatives of the machine building industry in Kazakhstan and in order to interest German companies to come next time and start cooperating with Kazakhstan, we decided to organize such a B2B meeting to introduce German and Kazakh companies to each other. I think it was a very important event, we got to know each other and found out a little bit what is interesting for the market of Kazakhstan, which will allow us to bring large stands to the exhibition under the auspices of the German Ministry of Economy in the future. For our part, we agreed that we will help establish ties and do everything possible to help establish cooperation between Germany and Kazakhstan."
Among the participants of the round table: Damu Entrepreneurship Development Fund JSC, AstanaInvest JSC, Inkar-1 LLP, Eurasia economic Union, WTO Werkzeug-Einrichtungen GmbH, Gebr. Heller Maschinenfabrik GmbH, LNS Group, HERMLE AG, OPEN MIND, GmbH ZIEHL-ABEGG SE, Hainbuch GmbH and others.
Круглый стол «Гармонизация как можно большего количества технических регламентов и выравнивание инфраструктуры качества Германией / ЕС – страны Центральной Азии».
Director of SME/Green Transformation, Technical Regulation Project, Jens Bellmann noted: "Mechanical engineering is an industry that is very important in Germany. Especially for the German economy. And therefore, we must talk about how standards, norms, technical regulations can be harmonized, what standards exist that Kazakhstani companies use. Today, we started discussing how we can do this together so that these norms and standards better coincide. There is a tendency in Europe that all these documents and certificates are electronic, while this does not exist in Kazakhstan. However, this must be done in order to successfully enter international markets. Therefore, we have come to the conclusion that we will discuss this with Kazakhstani companies in order to further achieve our goals."

Business program

Not only a variety of product lines, but also professional discussions on key topics for the business community are an important part of the exhibition. More than 30 speakers and experts spoke on the business platform of the event. The exhibition program is adapted to current challenges and includes a number of key events aimed at supporting and developing the industry. As part of the business program, the following events were held:

1) The conference "Modern laser technologies for industrial enterprises" (organized by NTO "IRE-POLYUS").

2) Round table on welding technologies "A new generation chooses Safety. Modern solutions in the field of welding and cutting at industrial enterprises of the country" (co–organizer - ESAB company).

3) Republican meeting on problematic issues and prospects for the development of water supply and sanitation systems in settlements.

5) Round table "The possibilities of domestic oil and gas engineering and the needs of large operators."

The exhibition is organized by the Ministry of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Union of Machine Builders of Kazakhstan and Astana Expo. Every year, Astana Expo holds over 10 international events in various fields – mechanical engineering and manufacturing, building safety and automation, construction and design, floristry and floriculture, etc. The company is an active member of the World Association of the Exhibition Industry UFI.
