Anna Zubova, Director of the Central Asia Office of Leipziger Messe, noted: "For the first time, we are participating as co-organizers of the mechanical engineering exhibition together with Astana Expo and Leipziger Messe. Since this is the first time we are getting acquainted with the market and representatives of the machine building industry in Kazakhstan and in order to interest German companies to come next time and start cooperating with Kazakhstan, we decided to organize such a B2B meeting to introduce German and Kazakh companies to each other. I think it was a very important event, we got to know each other and found out a little bit what is interesting for the market of Kazakhstan, which will allow us to bring large stands to the exhibition under the auspices of the German Ministry of Economy in the future. For our part, we agreed that we will help establish ties and do everything possible to help establish cooperation between Germany and Kazakhstan."
Director of SME/Green Transformation, Technical Regulation Project, Jens Bellmann noted: "Mechanical engineering is an industry that is very important in Germany. Especially for the German economy. And therefore, we must talk about how standards, norms, technical regulations can be harmonized, what standards exist that Kazakhstani companies use. Today, we started discussing how we can do this together so that these norms and standards better coincide. There is a tendency in Europe that all these documents and certificates are electronic, while this does not exist in Kazakhstan. However, this must be done in order to successfully enter international markets. Therefore, we have come to the conclusion that we will discuss this with Kazakhstani companies in order to further achieve our goals."
